Registration of dietary supplements according to the requirements of the EAEU

Dietary supplements are products that belong to specialised food products and contain bioactive substances of natural origin and/or nature-identical bioactive substances, as well as probiotic microorganisms in their composition. Dietary supplements are intended for consumption with food or introduction into the composition of food products.

What types of dietary supplements need to be registered?

The circulation of dietary supplements within the territory of the EAEU is the same for all member states of the EAEU. Dietary supplements are subject to state registration in accordance with Decision of the Commission of the Customs Union No. 299 dated 28 May 2010 and Technical Regulations of the Customs Union TR TS 021/2011 “On Food Safety”.

The following dietary supplements are subject to registration within the territory of the EAEU:

  • Vitamins
  • Minerals
  • Amino acids
  • Bodybuilding supplements and sports nutrition products
  • Essential fatty acids
  • Probiotics
  • Natural dietary supplements
  • Immunomodulators
  • Dietary fibre

Carrying out expert examinations and tests

Going through an expert council procedure, obtaining an expert opinion and a scientific report

Obtaining a certificate of state registration and entering the information into the register
