Approval of the type of a measuring instrument Kazakhstan
Approval of the type of a measuring instrument is the decision of the authorised body to permit the use of the measuring instrument of the approved type within the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan based on positive test results.
The main goal is to ensure the uniformity of measurements in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the release into circulation of measuring instruments that meet the requirements of the technical documents of the manufacturer.
Special feature of approval of the type of a measuring instrument
According to Article 17(1) of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Ensuring the Uniformity of Measurements”, measuring instruments that are objects of state metrological control in accordance with Article 22 of the Law shall be subject to type approval before being put into circulation.
Tests for the purpose of approving the type of a measuring instrument, which is produced in series, are carried out at the request of the manufacturer or a legal entity or individual authorised by the manufacturer, who, on the basis of documentary evidence on behalf of this manufacturer, performs actions when the measuring instrument is released into circulation within the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan and are responsible for the compliance of the manufactured measuring instrument with metrological and technical requirements.
